VIRTUAL WORKSHOP — A Brain-Based Approach to Learning Design and Facilitation

Agenda

February 12 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm GMT
Neuroscience foundations of learning

The science of learning through the lens of NLI’s AGES model. Participants will explore the research that supports the model’s four pillars: Attention, Generation, Emotion and Spacing, and discuss how each can be operationalized across design and facilitation.

February 19 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm GMT
Insight and social learning over time

The science of operationalizing AGES. Participants will hear the latest research on the science of insight, the impact of social learning and how to do it right, and how spacing can be leveraged. They will also explore the pros and cons to consider for each when designing and facilitating.

February 26 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm GMT
Brain-based principles for all types of learning

A critical discussion on the many types of learning approaches and options. Each approach will be compared against the ease of use, the outcomes and how best to design given its alignment with AGES. Finally, the participants will workshop a current project with a small group, integrating their learning and walking away with a plan forward.
