Prof. Cerf holds a PhD in neuroscience from Caltech, an MA in Philosophy, and a BSc in Physics from Tel-Aviv University. He helps individuals and businesses leverage neuroscience to enhance thinking, leadership, decision-making, and customer engagement. His research utilizes neuroscience to explore psychology, behavior changes, emotions, and decision-making. Prof. Cerf's groundbreaking work with brain-surgery patients, where individual nerve cell activity is recorded using implanted electrodes, has established him as a leading expert in neural implants and brain-machine interfaces.

He has held leadership roles in cyber-security, pharma, telecom, fashion, and innovation research. Currently, he serves on the board of several tech companies, co-founded ThinkAlike, and founded the non-profit B-Cube. Prof. Cerf has consulted for companies like Ferrari, Viacom, TransUnion, and the US Government.

He has mentored over 50 students, holds multiple patents, and has published 5 books and over 70 academic papers in journals such as Nature and Science. His work has appeared in CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, and many other media outlets. Prof. Cerf is a 4-time US National storytelling champion and a regular consultant to Hollywood films and TV shows. He also teaches screenwriting at the American Film Institute.
