Frequently Asked Questions

What are the prerequisites for this course?

Prerequisite for all participants: Completion of the Brain Based Conversation Skills (BBCS) course. This is Part 1 of the full Brain Based Coaching Certification and is required for all coaches joining the program. BBCS provides the foundation in our core neuroscience-based coaching models upon which the team coaching course builds.

Ideal qualification: Full Brain Based Coaching Certification (which includes BBCS as Part 1).

For more experienced coaches (PCC, MCC, etc.): You need 20 hours of formal coach training and at least 50 hours of individual coaching experience to demonstrate your coaching foundation. You must still complete BBCS before joining the team coaching course to ensure familiarity with our neuroscience-based coaching models.

How much time commitment is required?
The programme requires a total commitment of 37 hours over 12 weeks:
- 17.5 hours of live facilitated sessions (8 workshops + 2 practice labs)
- 19.5 hours of self-directed learning and practice
- Additional time to source and coach your own team of 4-8 people for "In the Field" sessions

Plan for approximately 3-4 hours per week, with flexibility to schedule your field practice sessions at times that work for you.
What ICF credentials does this course offer?
This course is accredited by the International Coaching Federation and provides 37 CCE units (33 Core Competency hours and 4 Resource Development hours), perfect for ICF credential renewals.
Do I need to find my own team to practice with?
Yes, part of the course includes "In the Field" sessions where you'll source and coach a team of 4-8 people. We'll provide guidance on how to find and engage an appropriate team during the orientation session..
