Built by the Pioneer Who Coined "NeuroLeadership"
The Problem David Rock Indentified
In the late 1990s, Dr. David Rock recognised a fundamental gap in coaching: professionals were helping leaders change behaviour, but no one could explain why certain approaches consistently worked while others failed.
Traditional coaching relied on intuition and experience. There was no evidence base. No replicable methodology. Just "feel" and hope.
The Breakthrough
Rock pioneered the integration of neuroscience into coaching, creating Results Coaching™ in 1998. His insight: the language of coaching—setting goals, making connections, becoming aware, seeking breakthroughs—aligns with the brain’s natural way of learning, adapting, and responding to change.
For the first time, coaches could understand not just what to do, but why it worked at a neurological level.
From Theory to Global Practice
Over 25 years, Dr. David Rock and the NeuroLeadership Institute team didn’t just theorise—they field-tested this methodology with leaders in the world’s most demanding organisations.
The Result: a proven, replicable coaching framework recognised as one of the most respected training experiences in the coaching profession.
What Makes Results Coaching™ Different
Built for Rational Minds
Specifically designed for coaching rational, business-focused professionals—engineers, scientists, finance leaders, and analytical thinkers who are skeptical of "soft skills" approaches and demand evidence-backed methods.
Work at the Thinking Level
Unlike traditional coaching that focuses on behaviour change, Results Coaching teaches you to work at the level of improving underpinning thinking—the mental models that drive all behaviour.
Impasses → Insights → Habits
Guide clients through a structured progression: identifying impasses, generating insights, enabling actions, and creating sustainable new habits—all grounded in how the brain actually learns and changes.
The Foundation: Coaching with the Brain in Mind
David Rock and Linda J. Page's seminal book laid the scientific groundwork for brain-based coaching, demonstrating how understanding neuroscience makes it possible to become a better coach—not through guesswork, but through evidence.
"By understanding how the brain works, coaching professionals can better tailor their language, strategies, and goals to be in alignment with an individual's hard-wired way of thinking."
This isn’t neuroscience borrowed from academia. It’s neuroscience designed for coaching—proven in boardrooms, refined over 25 years, and built to give you the tools to coach with confidence and impact. No degree is required—just a willingness to apply science in practice.
