Completion of BBCS & BBCC will result in 71 ICF hours and 5.5 hours of Resource Development (76.5 total), which can be used as Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units to fulfill the training portion of any level (ACC, PCC, or MCC) of the ICF accreditation process via the Portfolio Path.
The 76.5 CCE hours fulfill the training requirement of the first level of ICF accreditation process (ACC). But, in addition to your training hours, you will need to satisfy the following criteria for an ACC credential:
- 100 coaching hours - these should be logged by you as you complete them and include a mix of paid and unpaid coaching. You can find a template to use and more information on this, on the ICF’s website HERE.
- 10 mentoring hours - 7 of these hours must be individual mentoring sessions, the remaining 3 can be as part of a group.
- A recorded Performance Evaluation - this is simply a coaching session that you record and attach to your ICF application, in order for them to be able to evaluate your coaching skills and experience based on the 11 ICF Core Competencies, which can be found HERE.
- A Coach Knowledge Assessment - this is a multiple choice assessment which is set and administered by the ICF directly and which you will be connected to once you apply for your ACC credential. More information on the Coach Knowledge Assessment can be found on the ICF’s website HERE.
